J's worried that his hairdresser today won't cut his hair when she sees how many gray hairs he has. We got into a debate about whether two grow back for every one, but he does tend to have another one in the same area whenever he or I goes to pluck it out. I think it adds sophistication. Look at the hottie in Better Off Ted, he has a whole grey temple and it's gorgeous.

That being said, I love the post and the sentiment, which is maybe why Home for the Holidays and Family Stone are two of my favorite, if some of the saddest, movies. And they all end up happily coupled, so there's hope (if that's the thing for which you're hoping).

Hilarious booster shots. I'm surprised by the search results though. You must have SafeSearch turned on, you prude! (Kidding. Speaking of which, have you seen the proposed new "sarcasm" punctuation mark? I think it defeats the purpose of sarcasm, as does "Kidding," I suppose, what are a journalist's thoughts?)

I don't think you look like her, or Sarah Silverman. I didn't even notice your nose until you told me the Barbra story at brunch (?) and then noticed it and thought, no, not a schnoz. And you're much prettier than Chelsea, of course!

By the way, a muppet's ego? Brilliant. What Muppet would you be, though?

Too far apart technologically? I don't buy it. Seriously. There's a huge technological gap between me and someone just 10 years younger -- my first email address was in college; theirs was probably in elementary school, possibly middle school. The original Nintendo Entertainment System was an enormous innovation in my teens, and a handheld video game was probably a bunch of dots playing "football.". They don't remember a time when the cable company couldn't figure out how to get a wire across railroad tracks. Unless women are popping out babies at 3 or 4 years old, there's always going to be a large technological gap between generations.

Funny, I was thinking about this too. I've temporarily shut down my ibiological clock. It kept freezing up on me and when I called tech I was forwarded to a "Bob" in Mumbai.
